Mombasa nurses have threatened to boycott work over unpaid salaries.
Mombasa union secretary general Peter Maroko said the nurses have not been paid for five months.
“We cannot buy stories anymore. We shall proceed and go for a work boycott,” he said on Tuesday.
The nurses said some of their colleagues have been paid but they demanded salaries for everyone else.
They warned residents to look for alternative facilities starting Christmas Day as public hospitals will be closed.
