Pharmacy and Poisons Board has withdrawn anti-acid Ranitidine, sold in Kenya as Neotack, from the market after the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found a carcinogenic substance in some samples.

Ranitidine is an over-the-counter drug to ease heartburn.
