Cancer patients in Embu yesterday staged a protest over claims they were being neglected by Embu Level Five Hospital.
About 10 patients, who had appointment, claimed they have been travelling long and costly distances for therapy in vain.
They accused the county government of negligence, owing to its failure to address the ongoing nurses’ strike.
Jane Muthoni, who had taken her ailing mother to the hospital for therapy, lamented that they have not been receiving treatment on several visits.
She has appealed to Governor Martin Wambora to address nurses’ strike so that they can resume duties to alleviate their suffering.
