Ministry of Health (MoH) announced today that childhood vaccines are in the country to be received at the Kitengela Central Vaccine Store.
According to Principal Secretary at the State Department for Medical Services, Harry Kimtai the childhood vaccines will be delivered to the regional nine warehouses to address recent stock outs across Kenya.
“The distribution will commence tomorrow 7th June, to Meru, Nyeri and Nairobi counties, and on 10th June to Nakuru and Mombasa, with 11th June to Kisumu and Kakamega and on 12th June to Garissa and Eldoret’’
Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday announced procurement of 1.25 billion worth of vaccines which include ‘’ Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG), Oral Polio, Tetanus-Diphtheria, and Measles Rubella will be distributed to the nine regional vaccine stores.
The replenishment aims to fill the gaps left by recent stock outs across the country, which have raised concerns among civil society organizations, pediatricians and the general public.
